Shree Jagannath Go Seva Sansthanam is a pioneering organization dedicated to the welfare of stray cattle in Odisha, focusing on their rescue, medical care, and rehabilitation. Founded in 2017, our organization works tirelessly to provide 24×7 assistance to injured or sick stray cattle in urban areas, particularly in and around Puri.

To ensure the health, safety, and dignity of stray cattle by providing comprehensive medical care, shelter, and rehabilitation, while supporting the local veterinary department and creating awareness about animal welfare.

Why We Exist
Stray cattle in urban areas face numerous challenges:
- Road accidents due to unregulated movement
- Lack of ownership or shelter
- Absence of timely medical care during emergencies
- Insufficient food and nutrition
- Limited support from public or veterinary staff due to lack of trained manpower
Observing these challenges, our organization established the first indoor treatment facility for stray cattle in Odisha to assist the veterinary department permanently. We provide trained manpower, animal ambulances, and medical treatment using allopathic, homeopathic, and Ayurvedic methods, including physiotherapy for long-term care.
Our Achievements
- 15 bed indoor hospital with operation theatre for stray cattle
- Round-the-clock rescue and ambulance services
- Rehabilitation facility at our rehabilitation shelter, Chhaitana, Puri, accommodating 100 stray cattle
- Successfully managed stray cattle during Rath Yatra and other festivals, preventing casualties
- Collaborated with Puri District Veterinary Department to provide beds and medical assistance
